Settlement Update of June 22, 2026

Greetings to All-

Your Legal Team has received your questions about the timing of the settlement payments.

Although we can’t pinpoint the exact date you will receive the funds, what we do know is:

  • The $300k settlement from the Shooter’s parents has already been transferred to the central repository law firm.
  • The $1.75M payment from Mean Arms’ insurer must be made to the same law firm on or before July 15, 2026.
  • The mandated 30-day period for Mean Arms payment was unfortunately recalculated, resulting in this additional 30-day delay. (now due no later than the July 15th date above)
  • The repository law firm will then need to transfer your share of the total settlement money to the Law Offices of Bonner & Bonner.
  • When received, the Law Offices of Bonner & Bonner will begin transferring each of your settlement amounts as a direct deposit, based on your declared banking preferences.

Bottom Line:

  1. Law offices of Bonner & Bonner need to receive your portion of both settlements, from the Shooter’s parents and from MEAN’s insurer, before direct deposits will start.
  2. Everytown will update you as soon as they are notified of the wire transfer from Mean Arms’ insurer to the central repository law firm.
  3. We still need to determine any mandated time frame for the repository law firm to transfer the funds to all the respective law firms waiting on settlement funds—we will update you on that timeframe when we find out, although we believe it will be done promptly.
We deeply apologize for this unforeseen glitch in the process and for the devastating impact it has caused everyone.

Everytown is working hard to minimize the frustration and uncertainty while you wait, by keeping these updates transparent. We will be back in touch with live updates as they happen.

We hope this update provides more clarity. While there is nothing anyone can do at this point to make things move faster, we want to keep you updated as things move forward.

On behalf of your entire legal team-
Thank You
Keep Safe!!
